After Ukrainian forces bombarded the city of Donetsk overnight, a fire broke out at an oil storage in Russian-controlled area in eastern Ukraine, the head of the local administration reported on Tuesday.

Last night, numerous artillery strikes were inflicted on the territory of Donetsk, as a result of which a fire broke out on the territory of a large oil base located in the Budyonovsky district of Donetsk. The relevant information is confirmed both by NASA satellite images monitoring the fires, and by video footage of residents of Donetsk, where you can see that the fire at the oil depot is very serious.

The strike on the oil depot in the Budyonovsky district of Donetsk was inflicted late at night, however, according to 6 o’clock in the morning, the rescuers failed to eliminate the consequences of the attack on the oil depot – the fire continued, but with much less intensity.

On the presented video frames, you can see the consequences of strikes against Donetsk using M777 light towed howitzers. According to preliminary data, it was possible to do without casualties and victims, however, the infrastructure of the tank farm was destroyed, while any clarifications regarding the amount of fuel, oil products, and fuels and lubricants stored at the tank farm are not specified.

According to preliminary data, the Ukrainian military launched strikes from the Avdiivka direction, however, there are no official comments from the DPR on this matter yet.
